“The Corribdale Park Footprint Trail”

In order to raise the capital to expand the current facilities at Corribdale Park we would like to unveil our latest fundraising initiative

The Footprint Trail campaign will allow each donor to fund the development of the park and this will entitle them to have their name printed inside a footprint on signage which will be erected along the new trails area. The signs will also display information on the flora and fauna of the area as well as the history and heritage of the village and environs. Each single footprint will cost €20, with larger ‘Family Footprints’ costing €50.
There will be the possibility to donate more if you so wish. The community have been outstanding in their support for the project to date and we are more than grateful for the generosity from locals and businesses alike.

It is hard to believe that this time last year the construction of Corribdale Park’s new trails was just beginning!      A year on we are delighted to see the facilities enjoying such great use on a daily basis.
As you will see from the plans below there is just over 1km of trails planned for around the GAA pitch and the perimeter of the wooded area. Lighting would also be put in place along the route, ensuring a safe and secure area to walk or train at night time and in the darker winter days.
The proposed paths around the pitch would be similar to the existing trails in width and finish, while those around the wooded area will be narrower.
As yet we have no timescale for the start of these works as we have to complete the written proposal and paperwork for the tender documents and once this is completed we will be in a position to submit for further grant aid to complete the project.
All grant aided projects need to have matching funding in place, so in order to complete the park we have a lot of fundraising to do!!
We need to raise approx. €25,000 in order to complete the next phase. This might seem like a lot of money but with your help we know we can do it.
